My Journey
Hello Sunshine,
My name is Imani J. Christor (ImaniJC®), an illustrator who blends traditional techniques with digital artistry to highlight African-descendant representation in free-spirited lifestyles. With a BA in Studio Art from Spelman College, I draw inspiration from wandering the South with my Chow Chow, Bruno and channel those experiences into illustrations to share.
In 2018, I began my journey as an illustrator, nurturing a dream that would later blossom into ImaniJC®. By 2023, that vision grew into a collection of wearable art and merchandise designed to accompany collectors through everyday life.

The Creations
Every design begins with my hand-drawn illustrations, which are printed onto natural canvas and vegan leather. These materials are then carefully crafted into wearable art by small, ethical manufacturers in the US and Canada, whose values align with my commitment to fair labor and mindful production.
To honor both the Earth and the uniqueness of my collectors, I create in small batches. This way, craftsmanship takes precedence, and each piece feels as special as the person it’s destined for.
These aren’t just accessories. They’re wearable stories, tiny traveling galleries that turn sidewalks into exhibitions and errands into moments of connection. Made for your journey, crafted to become lifelong companions.
